The seasons are in transition right now, and this so happens to be one of the best. The in-between time: tail end of summer and the very beginnings of autumn. Oh, how we are happy campers, here in Washington, DC. The mornings are a cool 65, and the afternoons rise into the late 70s. Like I said, happy campers. My manicure color is inspired by the seasonal transitions.
Cement the Deal by OPI
I stumbled across this stunning grey at the nail salon, it’s from the OPI 50 Shades of Grey collection, this one is named Cement the Deal. As I’m sure you’ve established, by reading all my other Manicure Monday posts, I’m an Essie Girl! But this cool, stoney shade of grey was too alluring to put down.
I was actually quite blown away, as my manicure lasted for F-I-V-E days without chipping. What? Yes! OPI is notorious for 2 chips, so I was pretty impressed when Friday rolled around and the manicure still looked flawless.
I’m a huge fan of grey, as it provides a cooler, darker, variety of a neutral. Plus, it mashes up so perfectly with the month of September in it’s entirety. If anyone can find a similar shade in a shellac, PLEASE let me know! I’d love to rock this for 2 weeks, right?!
