About 30 days ago, I decided to jump into a 30 day challenge. There are so many 30 day challenges out there — literally endless. Narrowing down the list was a bit daunting, but I ultimately settled on the ‘One Photo a Day’ challenge. The key word that got me was photo. I love pictures, and truly appreciate the beauty in capturing a moment forever in time. (Sorry if that was Kay Jewelers corny and made you gag while reading).
So yes, I decided I wanted to take one photo, every single day in the month of October. And let me tell you, it was a blast. I can remember just about everything I did that day when scrolling through each photo. It’s kind of amazing how much memory gets linked and locked in when associated with a photo. Isn’t it? Or is it just me?
Thought it would be fun to share some of my favorite snaps from the month, through photos of course!
THE OCTOBER PHOTO RECAP
A Great Falls hike. Adorable adult coloring books. The SPOOK-ulent! Waffles for Bruch. Homemade cookies for my beloved improv troupe (baked with love). Famers Market dahlias from Alex. One of my favorite books read in October, enjoyed with my favorite beer. A classic bathroom selfie (only because my shirt accidentally matched the wallpaper!). Spontaneous margaritas on a random Wednesday. After dinner gelato. Dinosaurs at the Botanical Gardens. Bright fall foliage. That pesky (yet totally adorable) neighborhood squirrel who is always patiently waiting for me when I leave me house. Apple picking. Walks around Capitol Hill. Halloween themed spooky / yummy cupcakes.
What a beautiful, and totally memorable month. If you haven’t done so, I highly encourage you to document your days. I think you’ll be glad you did.
