I believe the entire country is fed up with these ridiculous winter temperatures that lasted until basically yesterday. It snowed 6-inches on the first official day of spring, here in DC, and didn’t really get much better. It’s currently May, and we’re still in winter coats… it’s miserable. I haven’t packed up my gloves, scarf, or ear muffs, because I STILL NEED THEM. Again, totally f*cking miserable winter this year…
With virtually NO sign of consistent warm weather, last thing on my mind is shopping and putting together a spring wardrobe. The only thing I’ve managed to do? SHOE SHOP! I went totally crazy at Nordstrom Rack in early March and decided I needed all new shoes for the season.
So while I’m still scrambling to put together a collection of tops, bottoms, rompers and sundresses for the next six months, I’ve got the shoes covered. And I’m excited to share my purchases with you!
SPRING 2018 | THE SHOE CAPSULE
I practically live in my black tasseled slides and leopard mules, they’re the stars of this years shoe capsule. They both go with nearly everything, are so comfortable, and easy to slide in and out of (obviously). I like to wear the tan pointed mules on date nights or when I want to dress up a bit. The low-cut gray ankle booties were bit of a splurge, but I haven’t purchased a new pair of boots in several years, and figured it was time. White chucks are always a classic lace-up pair of shoes. I’ve also had my rain boots for a while (not pictured), and use them only on super rainy days, which we all know spring is full of!

I *think* we’re done with days of high wind in the low 50’s, but you can never be too certain…
